Nice cabin, steep driveway, yard needs maintenance
Overall, the cabin was nice. The interior was clean and plenty of rooms available. The master bedroom is upstairs so it can get a little hot in the summer. Keep the windows open as there is no AC. The driveway is very steep. We were a little scared driving up to the garage or leaving a car in the driveway given the very steep grade. I wouldn't be surprised if your car slid down the driveway in snowy conditions (we stayed in the summer). My biggest complaint would be the condition of the back yard. There is so much potential but the entire back porch was covered in dead leaves and spider webs. I actually spent about an hour sweeping up the back yard just so my friends and I could enjoy our time out there. I would recommend the owners schedule some maintenance of the back porch every two weeks or so. The BBQ is also in very poor condition. I was able to use it, but you kind of need pliers to turn the nobs. It's like the nobs are stripped and won't really turn on the gas. I've seen BBQs left by dumpsters in better condition. If I were the owner, I would spend 100 and get a better one off craigslist. Guests who like to BBQ would certainly appreciate a little upgrade. Overall the place wasn't too bad. The hot tub is a nice feature that we enjoyed very much. I would stay again if the back yard were better maintained. Lastly, if you are trying to pack two large vehicles in the garage (in our case, two Toyota Tacomas) they won't fit. Not wide enough.

This is the perfect place to stay in big Bear. Quiet neighborhood, close to the village and lake.

The house was nice and clean. The driveway is very steep. The garage is the only safe place to park.
